Lesson #4 Sept. 22, 2015: Reviews

Dear parents,

Today we reviewed two main subjects:

1. the basic sentences for greetings and goodbyes

• Bonjour Monsieur
• Bonjour Madame
• Salut! 
• Comment ça va? 
• Ca va? 
• oui, ça va bien! 
• Au revoir Monsieur
• Au revoir Madame  
• Bonjour moi c'est Gabriella! 

In order to achieve that:

Listening the French Hello song!

• They listened again to their favorite song "Bonjour! Salut!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkQrLXaEOTg
• They split by pairs and they developed a dialogue: "Bonjour Maria!" "Bonjour Manuella" "Comment ça va?" "Ca va bien" or "Comme ci comme ça!" or "Trés bien merci!" 
• They draw a picture of themselves and then they present it to the rest of the class "Bonjour! Moi c'est Pédro!"

Don't hesitate to ask your children how are they doing: "Comment ça va?" "Ca va?".

       2. the numbers from 0 to 12

• They listened to the song "1, 2, 3 nous irons au bois" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KrBIhEfSBE
• They played their favorite game: cross the river without being eaten by the crocodile. Ask them to tell you about the game. 
• I showed them some flash cards with numbers and they had to guess which number it was.

Homework for the next session: 
Cahier d'activité, page 5: exercice 3 et 4

At the next session, they will learned how to answer the following questions:
"Comment tu t'appelles?" (what is your name?)
"Tu as quel âge?" (How old are you?)

Lesson#3 Sept. 17th, 2015: Numbers 0 to 12

 

Bonjour et bienvenue! 

Today we learned to count from 0 to 12! How exciting!

 

 

 After our starting routine (call the register, Amelie's greetings and review of preview learnings), we learned french numbers from 0 to 12 :

• by using our  book and its interactive method 
• by listening and learning the famous french song "1,2,3 nous irons au bois". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KrBIhEfSBE

• by playing different games: 
• bingo, 
• crocodile river: numbers were on the river, in order to cross the river without being eaten by the crocodiles, they had to step on the right combination of numbers, 
• two teams were asked to write the correct number on the board. The most rapid team won! 

At the end, the winners received a "Bon-Point"...after 10 "Bon-Point" they will get a little treat from me. :) Yummy!!!
