Lesson #1 Sept. 1st, 2015 : Kick-off of the French Class

Bonjour et bienvenus !

Reminder: This French class is designed for children who have never or rarely been exposed to the French language. It follows the FLE (Français Langue Etrangère) program, for French Language Acquisition for foreigners.

With this interactive method children are aimed to learn easily and happily in a friendly and enjoyable way through funny songs, storytelling, games and crafts.

The course will cover enough knowledge for your children to enjoy using the language for basic communication and expression.

On Sept. 1st, we had a great kick off to the French class. I am really glad of having such a great, enthusiastic and happy group of 5 girls and 3 boys:
- Maria Heckmann (3rd grade)
- Isabel Heckmann  (2nd grade)
- Luca Thumlert (2nd grade)
- Aditya Banrjee (1st grade)
- Manuella Oliveira (3rd grade)
- Manuela Bartz (1st grade)
- Catalina Gonzalez (1st grade)
- Pedro Mendez (1st grade)

During our first lesson:
  • we got to know each other (our names, grades etc...)
  • the kids were able to discover their new books and all the material.
  • I introduce them to family LEGRAND: Monsieur Luc LEGRAND, Madame Jeanne LEGRAND, Alice, Léo, Maggie, and their two pets Gold the cat and Bob the dog. Through the year, the students will follow their adventures.

  • The children learned about the different ways of greeting people in French: "Bonjour!", "Salut!" and saying goodbye "Au revoir!"
  • They also learned how to introduce themselves in a simple way: "Bonjour! Moi, c'est Maria."
Can't wait to the next lesson where we gonna learn a new french hello song!
