Lesson 9: Qu'est-ce qu'il (elle) fait?















Bonjour chers parents,



Today, we had a lot of fun:

  • reviewing the colors and shapes. We used different flash cards combining a color and a geometric shape: each kid had to guess the correct shape and color. 

  • learning new action verbs like: to run, to paint, to learn french, to phone, to jump, to sing. Each student had an object (rope, microphone, painting materials, mobile...) and had to mime each situation with their respective object. The other students had to guess and tell the correct verb. 

  • learning how to ask the question: what is he doing ? (qu'est-ce qu'il fait?) what is she doing? (qu'est-ce qu'elle fait?). 

  •   learning the difference between I (je), you (tu), he (il) and she (elle).

     

    As we have finished the first unit, during the next 2 weeks, we will do different projects in order to review all the learnings of this unit. Next week, we will learn about a famous french painter, Robert Delaunay and his famous painting of the Eiffel Tower, made out of different colorful shapes.
